We are seeking a detail-oriented Trade Services Manager to join our team. The successful candidate is responsible for ensuring robust compliance within Trade Services, aligning with regulatory requirements and the Bank's strategic direction. This role includes the following responsibilities: reviewing trade processing workflows, standardizing procedures, and developing a strong framework for addressing operational issues. The successful candidate will be based in our PJ City office and report to the Head of Trade Services Centre.

Key Responsibilities: 
1. Functional:
  • Process trade transactions via systemTE2000.
  • Monitor daily transactions and track payments of outstanding bills.
  • Examine trade documents and ensure accuracy of transactions.
  • Optimize workflow processes and staff.
  • Develop and implement a plan for checking the compliance controls.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines that are imposed by the Bank, BNM and/or any other regulatory authority as Business Unit Compliance Officer (BUCR).
2. Managerial (team/group responsibilities):
  • Drive compliance within legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal standards and guidelines.
  • Guide, mentor and coach Trade Services members on activities / initiatives to build up knowledge and experience of applicable laws, rules, regulations and guidelines.
3. Organizational (organizational responsibilities):
  • Assist in demonstrating to divisional management that the bank’s compliance is adequately managed through a robust 1st line of defense.
  • Break down “silos”, integrating and streamlining processes across Trade Services to comply with the spirit and rule of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep abreast of the latest technologies available and embrace the technology into trade finances AML/CFT processes and mitigation of breaches in sanction/AML screening/monitoring.

Job Requirements:
Education/Qualification
  • Malaysian citizen.  
  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking/Business Administration or equivalent holder.
  • 5 years and above related experience in Trade Operations.
Experience & Skillsets
  • Knowledge of consumer banking products and services, and regulations governing the consumer banking business.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, through all level of the organization.
  • Good critical thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to see the big picture without losing attention to details.
  • Strong team spirit player with a positive attitude and having the drive to improve processes.
