About the Team

The Talent Intelligence Team and Market Research Team plays a critical role in enabling Lowe’s Talent Acquisition function to operate with a data-driven, market-informed approach. As the Manager of Talent Intelligence and Market Research, you will oversee two specialized teams—Talent Intelligence and Market Research—that collectively deliver actionable market insights, support sourcing efforts for hard-to-fill roles, and drive data-driven recruitment strategies. Talent Intelligence focuses on larger, more complex research initiatives, providing in-depth analyses of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging talent hotspots to guide long-term strategic workforce planning. Market Research addresses shorter-term needs by conducting targeted analyses on talent supply and demand, generating quick insights on industry movements, and supplying competitive intelligence for immediate sourcing efforts. 

Job Summary:

Market Research addresses shorter-term needs by conducting targeted analyses on talent supply and demand, generating quick insights on industry movements, and supplying competitive intelligence for immediate sourcing efforts. 

Your teams’ outputs will equip recruiters, hiring managers, and senior leaders with the critical data and insights needed to enhance sourcing effectiveness and shape overall talent strategies. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical abilities, and a collaborative approach to partnering with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in talent market research, competitive intelligence, sourcing strategy, and process optimization. You will be responsible for evolving the team’s capabilities, ensuring that research outputs align with Lowe’s business hiring goals, and supporting the broader sourcing and recruiting functions with market-driven talent strategies. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of market researchers, fostering a high-performance culture that delivers high-quality talent intelligence and sourcing insights. 
  • Create comprehensive frameworks and processes while leveraging various research methodologies. 
  • Deliver actionable market intelligence, including talent supply analysis, labor market trends, and competitor benchmarking, to inform recruitment strategies. 
  • Devise and execute a targeted company/ies and candidate search strategy 
  • Support sourcing efforts by creating detailed market maps that help U.S. sourcing and recruiting teams identify and engage passive talent, particularly for hard-to-fill and strategic hiring initiatives. 
  • Enhance recruitment efficiency by providing data-driven insights that help reduce time-to-fill and increase sourcing capacity. 
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Talent Acquisition leaders, hiring managers, and HR partners, to ensure research efforts align with business hiring priorities and address sourcing challenges proactively. 
  • Develop and implement scalable processes and best practices for market research, competitive intelligence, and talent analytics. 
  • Build relationships across the organization, acting as a trusted advisor on talent market trends and competitive hiring intelligence. 
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new tools, data sources, and research methodologies to enhance market intelligence capabilities. 
  • Conduct research on talent availability and workforce trends across industries 
  • Track job market fluctuations, emerging skills and hiring patterns to support recruitment efforts. 
  • Provide data-backed insights on candidate sourcing strategies, passive talent engagement  

Years of Experience:

  • 12-15 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Market Research and Talent Intelligence with a strong foundation on TA Operations & Research.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or master's degree,

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

  • 3+ years of experience leading market research, sourcing, or talent intelligence teams, with a focus on delivering strategic insights to support recruitment.
  • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition, talent sourcing, competitive intelligence, or market research, preferably within a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience conducting market research, workforce analytics, and labor market analysis.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders by presenting complex data in a clear, actionable manner to recruiters, hiring managers, and executives.
  • Deep understanding of sourcing strategies, talent pipelines, and passive talent engagement techniques.
  • Experience with market intelligence tools (e.g., LinkedIn Talent Insights, Lightcast, HireEZ, or similar platforms) and talent analytics platforms.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, capable of aligning talent intelligence efforts with broader company hiring objectives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Ability to build and scale processes, ensuring repeatable, high-impact research methodologies.
  • Sound operational background, drive results based on data and bring outcomes together.
  • Build strong relationship with Global teams and peer group in the US.
