Job Description

At US Bank, the Principal Executive Recruiter is a senior level role within the Global Recruiting Organization (GER) that reports into the Director of Executive Recruiting.  This role is responsible for developing strong partnerships with our most senior executive leaders, senior recruiting & talent consultant leaders and connecting top leadership talent to the current and future executive hiring needs with a focus on Technology function.

A desire and ability to deliver differential executive hiring experiences by converting organizational skills demand and executive market domain intelligence into search strategies that deliver the right talent, at the right time.

Essential functions:

  • Interact and effectively manage relationships with senior leadership to create search strategies based on skills that align to our business needs and priorities

  • Lead partnerships with our senior talent consultant community to cultivate rich talent discussion to help inform hiring plans to support business change and growth

  • Deliver executive recruitment communication including search presentation materials, job descriptions, skill-based candidate profiles, interviewer/stakeholder communication, and candidate preparation

  • Drive external and internal talent networks and establish deep understanding of talent economics

  • Technologically astute; ability to leverage tools and technology to manage talent pipelines and ensure data hygiene

  • Demonstrate high levels of facilitation skills in consulting with the business, effectively addressing difficult situations with executive savvy; takes decisive and well-rounded action in high-pressure situations; solution focused to improve ineffective processes

  • Drive simplicity in everything we do

  • Business Acumen – Deep understanding of business priorities and needs through wholistic viewpoint of talent. Proven track record of leading through organizational transformation and change. Understands the business and talent market; demonstrates industry knowledge.

  • Technology Recruiting – This role supports the Technology Enabling function. Candidates for this role will need to have deep expertise in executive hiring for technical roles.

  • Talent Acumen – Facilitate and guide talent solutions to enable the business to achieve its strategic objectives through the talent acquisition. Bring insights, adaptability and is regarded and a talent expert for the assigned business(es).

  • Operational Excellence – Leverages technology, data and analytics to deliver the best experience to our customers and candidates.  Details matter, analyze data and process to inform actionable plans.

  • Collaboration & Consultative – Works closely with peer group and broader organization to deliver excellence. While highly collaborative in style, drives results with purpose, speed, and agility, delivering against business specific talent needs, while championing a broader “One HR” approach. Individual has strong executive presence, with the ability to influence and communicate at all levels.

  • Results Oriented – Exhibits a competitive drive and not afraid to challenge the status quo.  Able to set and meet aggressive goals and action plans, both as an individual and with a team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of full stack recruiting experience supporting executive hiring in technology

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of supporting business transformation and growth through executive talent delivery

  • with a wholistic talent mindset to best inform search strategies to identify skills archetypes

  • Result orientated, ability to recognize needs, solve problems, anticipate issues, and develop talent centric solutions using strong analytical, business and financial acumen

  • Proven ability to make sense out of ambiguous talent situations, have intellectual curiosity, outcome driven, calculated risk taking and curiosity mindset

  • Strong work ethic and proactive, team-oriented approach with unrelenting focus on quality and detail; ability to roll-up their sleeves and ensure high quality execution of executive hiring programs and processes

  • Effective communicator; ability to convey messages in a clear and concise manner, and drive change and influence through effective communications’ execution

  • Highly relational with a proven track record of consulting and influencing senior executive leaders

Location: The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
