Position Summary

The HR Data Analyst and project coordinator will play a vital role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to provide insights and support data-driven HR decision-making, as well as managing HR and other school-wide administrative projects. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of HR processes, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful reports and recommendations.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets HR data and metrics from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Develops and maintains HR dashboards, reports, and presentations that effectively communicate findings to HR and business leaders.
  • Manages projects by conducting research and gathering market intelligence on HR best practices, industry trends, and benchmarks to enhance HR programs and processes.
  • Supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of HR programs, policies, and initiatives based on data analysis and insights.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather HR data requirements, ensures data accuracy and integrity, and automate reporting processes when possible.
  • Performs in-depth data analysis to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and efficiency enhancements in school-wide and HR operations.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of employee surveys, analyzing results, and providing recommendations for action.
  • Partners with managers, HR and OD staff, OBS faculty and staff, and other campus stakeholders to understand their data needs, provide analytical support, and deliver data-driven insights.
  • Stays abreast of changes in HR laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure data compliance and inform HR policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the preparation of HR reports for the senior leadership team presentations.
  • Collaborates on special HR and school-wide projects and initiatives as assigned; Supports the closing process for projects, ensuring all documentation is made available for lessons learned and for the update of impacted processes, tools and templates; Develops, maintains, reviews and ensures accurate and timely completion of project documentation; Maintains project documentation including detailed project schedules, risks, change management and communications activities.
  • Maintains data confidentiality and handles sensitive information with utmost discretion.
  • Participation in relevant professional development learning opportunities to maintain currency in the field.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$23.37 - $36.19 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
