Job Level: Sr Analyst I, Controllership

Location: Bangalore, India

Shift Timings: 12noon to 9:30pm

Job Description

The Sr Analyst I is responsible for the overall oversight of accounting activities, financial reporting, statutory reporting and internal control environment. Working closely with Stakeholders in EUROPE Region to ensure things are recorded with completeness and accuracy. Working with the local FP&A team in order to ensure that revenues and costs are projected properly in accordance with US GAAP in budget and estimate submissions. Support in review of the P&L and Balance Sheet in order to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Specific deliverables:

  • Provide technical accounting expertise on various US GAAP accounting matters
  • Drive the MEC, QEC and YEC closure activities
  • Work closely on the group reporting under US GAAP and submission to the corporate which enable them to file the 10K and 10Q reporting
  • Manage and support the conduct of various audits under Local GAAP (includes Statutory audit, Tax audit, GST/VAT audits and Internal Audit)
  • Take ownership for the various balance sheet accounts
  • Assist manager in month end review and analytics
  • Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and the application of generally acceptable accounting principles
  • Should have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices and demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
  • Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of GAAP
  • Engage with the technical team to derive the accounting conclusions for the significant transactions.
  • Ensure for accounting of leasing on a timely manner
  • Working knowledge of - SAP, BW, BPC and proficient in MS Excel

Basic Qualifications and Skills

  • Should be a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
  • 4 - 6 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably Controllership experience
  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software SAP
  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with less experienced accountants and support personnel
  • Well organized with ability to prioritize
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
