Your Job:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the General Accounting functions for Methodist Medical Group and its hospitals while supervising a professional staff of three. This role also ensures that financial reporting needs are met and financial statements are presented in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate policy.
Your Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• 5+ years related work experience, previous management experience preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and/or similar spreadsheet capabilities
• Must be a team-oriented problem-solver
• Must be able to analyze complex issues, identify relevant facts, and communicate resolutions both verbally and in writing
• Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to interface with a multidisciplinary staff
• Must have the aptitude to learn new computer systems skills
• PC based accounting experience preferred
• Ten key by touch
• Ability to work overtime as needed
