Challenger 650 Second-in-Command

The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a CL650 Second-in-Command (SIC). The SIC will support contracted CONUS/OCONUS flight operations and must meet our high standards of aviator skill, safety, professionalism, and customer focus. Pilots may be required to live and work in austere conditions.

Primary Responsibilities

In this role, the SIC will support all flight operational duties in the Challenger 650 aircraft from flight planning, pre and post flight operations as requested by the Site Operations Manager (SOM), Lead Pilot, and the Program Chief Pilot. SIC's will operate aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, and program/corporate policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of experience; or Master’s Degree and two (2) years of experience. Additional experience may be used in lieu of degree.

  • 500 hours PIC total time.

  • 300 hours in a Challenger 604/605/650 aircraft or similar aircraft type.

  • Must possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.

  • Must hold at least at least an FAA Commercial Airplane, Airplane Airman Certificate, Multiengine Land and Instrument Airplane Airman Certificate.

  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

 

General Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must possess a current passport.

  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

  • Must read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Must be able to meet all deployment and medical requirements.

  • Must be current or willing to meet COVID vaccination requirements.

  • Must have a current DOD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1,000 hours of PIC time.

  • 200 hours of Multiengine.

  • 200 hours of Instrument (actual) time.

  • 200 hours jet time.

  • Collins Proline 21 experience.

  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP).

  • Former U.S. Military, Customs, DEA Pilot or US Contracting ISR Pilot.

  • Prior OCONUS rotation experience, particularly in current area of operation.

  • International operations (Oceanic, Europe, Pacific, and Africa) Airborne ISR.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
