In this vital role you will be responsible for set up and supporting various India HR functions for Amgen India including staff onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, and HR data management. This role ensures efficient and smooth HR operations, compliance with Amgen’s policies, and provides support to staff regarding HR-related queries. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information.

  • Staff Onboarding: Ensure new staff complete all required documentation and receive necessary training and resources. Maintain accurate staff records and update HR databases.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment to staff. Manage staff benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management. Handle staff queries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
  • HR Data Management: Maintain and update HR databases and systems with accurate staff information. Generate HR reports and metrics for analysis and decision-making. Maintain compliance with data protection regulations and maintain confidentiality of staff information.
  • HR Operations Support: Support the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless HR operations.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Maintain compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations in India. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff documentation and HR processes. Assist with internal and external audits as required.
  • Staff Engagement: Support HR initiatives aimed at improving staff engagement and satisfaction. Assist in organizing staff events, training sessions, and development programs. Gather staff feedback and contribute to creating a positive work environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0 to 3 years of experience in HR operations or a similar role OR
  • Diploma and 4 to 7 years of experience in HR operations or a similar role.
  • Experience with HR software and systems preferable Workday
  • Solid knowledge of HR practices and regulations in India
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling HR tasks

Soft skills:

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
