This role will serve as a workplace accommodations manager for employees and perform duties to include:
Providing guidance and services specific to advancing the accommodations process, communicating policies and practices, and advising on workplace matters.
Assisting with implementing company-wide strategies to enable decisions that are consistent with company policies, values & culture.
Improving the employee experience by engaging with leaders and employees, during critical moments in the life cycle of the employment relationship such as workplace accommodations and workplace concerns.
Integrating with key partners to drive solutions that promote inclusion, employee engagement, and business results.
Promote knowledge and understanding amongst leaders and employees regarding company policies, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA), Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and state law equivalent laws through coaching, presentations, and training.
Review medical, pregnancy and religious accommodation requests; conduct timely, objective and detailed interactive process conversations with employees to evaluate their individual needs, as well as business requirements of the role.
Communicate accommodation request outcomes to employees.
Maintain detailed and accurate accounts of accommodation interactive process conversations with timely memorialization of the notes and supporting documents into the case management system.
Initiate a proactive, strategic approach to employee relations by identifying and analyzing Accommodations and Critical Life Moments data/metrics for themes, trends, and root cause identification.
Facilitate training and lead project work as needed.
Minimum 3-years of strong influential leadership experience or in a professional level role.
Critical thinker, with proven experience translating strategic goals/concepts into action plans and implementing initiatives at an operational level.
Ability to analyze data, trends, and insights to identify the root cause of the event and translate into actionable solutions.
Strong consultative and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to build strong, inclusive, and collaborative working relationships.
Ability to lead challenging, high priority demands, prioritizing workload, managing projects and multiple responsibilities against strict deadlines.
Strong presentation skills: must be able to expertly make recommendations to senior business leaders or HR/DEI partners for improved employee relations and business results based on data and findings.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team environment while developing highly effective and valued professional relationships with peers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential situations with objectivity.
This position will be ion site in Orlando, FL.
Proven knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations (including but not limited to Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, PWFA and FMLA).
Workers’ compensation knowledge.
Background in disability management.
Experience and/or familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Bilingual speaking/writing.
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
