The USPB Risk CAO organization provides a global focus for risk management strategy and execution oversight, compliance with Citi Policies and Regulatory requirements, and driving strong risk management - for USPB Risk, Wealth Risk and Legacy Franchises/Banking & International Retail Risk Management.  

The USPB Risk Reporting VP role is responsible for global and independent risk reporting for the USPB CRO organization and other key enterprise level risk reporting to Citi CRO, Board and Regulators.  This role will be responsible for providing timely insights and information compliant with BCBS 239, applicable regulations, and Citi policies governing risk aggregations and reporting. This role supports department objectives related to risk digitization, reporting/analytics talent development, BCBS239 controls, strategic data sourcing, client engagement, and related consent order transformation programs. The role is part of USPB Risk Reporting team within USPB Risk CAO Organization.

This role requires working closely with peers within USPB Risk CAO, USPB CRO, 1st & 2nd lines of defense (LOD) senior risk managers, USPB Product Heads and specialized subject matter experts (SMEs) in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Retail Credit Risk Management (RCR) and related Technology partners throughout Citi. 

This role requires an experienced reporting expert well versed in reporting & client/risk aggregation needs unique to USPB Risk management. This role will interact directly with the USPB CROs management team, as well as reporting teams and key risk managers covering RCR. Excellent communication skills are required to interact with Risk leadership and partner effectively with other reporting/tech/data leads for delivering seamless and aligned transformation of USPB risk reporting while supporting quality BAU execution.

The USPB Risk Reporting VP will work with their management and peers to meet new reporting needs and innovate/digitize risk reporting for transformation to defined strong risk management target state. They will partner closely with Risk Managers and key senior managers in 1st and 2nd lines of defense to re/design and operationalize delivery of required management information, leveraging systems of record and authorized data sources through new self-service analytics capabilities and automation tools.

  

In addition to strong analytics and (BI) business intelligence skills, this role requires a deep understanding of information and insights critical for governance and monitoring of quantity and quality of Retail Risk management of exposures and assets - across full life cycle and including adherence to capital based stress loss limits, other risk appetite guardrails and performance benchmarks, recession readiness playbooks and overall assessment of state of risk.

  • Timely, quality and compliant risk reporting
  • Reporting rationalization and redesign to meet, leverage and align with path to strong transformation in progress – including revision of reports to adopt new/changing risk taxonomies and aggregation requirements, new systems of record and authorized data sources and new reporting/oversight infrastructure and BI/analytics tools, to deliver updated and new risk aggregations that meet changing organizational needs and regulatory/policy requirements.
  • Work in close partnership with USPB Risk CAO peers, Risk Policy/Process owners and stakeholders across first and second line of defense to rationalize, simplify and digitize risk reporting.
  • Drive cross training within reporting team and with key groups in USPB Risk CAO function and especially India based shared services teams, to expand bench strength and capacity for specialized risk reporting & reporting digitization.
  • Design, coordinate and prepare executive materials for USPB CRO and management team’s senior presentations to the Board, risk committees, and regulators; including any ad-hoc materials.
  • Design, prepare, analyze and distribute global/cluster risk reports that are insightful, comprehensive, and enable Independent Risk Management to monitor risk around the globe, reviewing business results and challenging business risk strategies.
  • Partner with Independent Risk Management and In-Business/Country Risk Management to address new risk monitoring or regulatory requirements
  • Lead strategic initiatives to drive common & concurrent use of “gold source reports” by 1st & 2nd line, and deliver faster time to insights
  • Enhance and streamline management reporting processes by adopting best-in-class modern intelligence tools and improving data quality in partnership with stakeholders in risk management, technology and business teams.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degrees in business, finance, economics, computer science or other analytically intensive discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services
  • Understanding of consumer credit risk and related data
  • Ability to synthesize complex data/analytics into succinct and effective presentations.
  • Prior experience in risk analytics, reporting/BI and data preferred.
  • Track record of delivering complex projects related to data, aggregation and reporting.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic, high-volume, and complex environment with a practical solutions-driven approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of engagement with senior leadership teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, able to leverage relationships and work collaboratively across an organization.
  • Comfortable acting as an agent for positive change with agility and flexibility.

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
