Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the organization of all project related activities and communications that will ensure the successful execution of large projects.  The center of this planning will be the project schedule across multiple functions and locations.  This will be the marching orders for all project related activities and the guideline to ensure the project is proceeding on plan.

The Senior Project Manager will be the chief conduit for communication from the customer and to the related parties within the company and is expected to drive project activities, seeking solutions as challenges arise. The PM will be responsible for project budget, invoicing schedule, and ensure that cash flow is adequately maintained during the course of the Project, and comfortable with cost analysis when deviations occur.

The Senior Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the overall execution of the project. In addition, this position will include partnering with the production Master Scheduler and Production Supervisors to ensure the timely delivery of product to the field to support the installation schedule.  The PM will report results and issues to Sr. Management on a regular basis taking every opportunity to avoid or minimize potential issues and risks to the Project.  The PM is expected to travel to the Project site only as needed, but is expected to maintain effective communication with the customer’s sites to provide on-site field support and commissioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes a broad understanding of project governance activities and tools in the delivery of projects and management of project risks
  • Executes general processes associated with change controls, approvals, and information exchange involving both internal and external stakeholders
  • Defines workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships of a project team
  • Mitigates scope, schedule, and cost concerns both internally and with Client
  • Supports development of departmental budgets and business plans for functional areas
  • Manages and drives changes in a project
  • Exhibits leadership skills by developing organizational goals and objectives
  • Leverages progressive experience and knowledge to evaluate and compare material handling alternative applications when supporting the design and implementation of solutions
  • Leads 12-15 projects or work streams of intermediate size, scope, budget, and complexity
  • Exemplifies a strong work ethic by consistently practicing strong values such as integrity, dedication, and professionalism
  • Proactively shares knowledge and feedback toward the development of others
  • Effectively builds strong project teams and understands development needs in self and others
  • Provides leadership as a Resource Manager as business needs require

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Effective and professional communication across internal functions and with all levels of customer stakeholders.  
  • Ability to proactively develop and evaluate solutions to project risks and issues. 
  • Schedule and manage engineering activities for projects. 
  • Analyze progress and determine issues in the schedule in a timely manner. 
  • Willingness to travel as required. 
  • Juggle multiple tasks and changing priorities. 
  • Results focused and detailed oriented. 
  • Comfortable with data analytics. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) 
  • 8+ years’ experience project management experience or related
  • Experience managing a cross-functional work team across multiple locations
  • Experience with complex project scheduling
  • Experience working with customers in planning and troubleshooting issues
  • Experience in coordinating department activities with other departments. 

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 20% travel

The base salary range for this role is $100,700 to $151,100.  This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
