The Role: Pricing Go-To-Market Lead 

 

The Team:  

As a member of the Pricing Strategy & Analytics function, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and driving go-to-market pricing strategies and programs across the Market Intelligence product portfolio. Reporting into the Data Analytics, Insights & Pricing team, you will drive senior stakeholder buy-ins and end-to-end adoption of pricing strategies and models, pricing pilots & programs, and set regular feedback loop and reporting mechanisms regarding GTM effectiveness of pricing & packaging strategies.  

 

The Impact: 

This role requires strong cross-functional executive collaboration and influencing along with the ability to deal with ambiguity while building and transforming for scale. You will work across GTM leadership teams to determine the best GTM monetization strategy and plans as we launch new pricing programs and will be responsible for driving effective change management.

Responsibilities:  

Developing a pricing monetization approach for our product portfolio by tracking market trends, understanding target markets, product objectives and key results. 

  • Partner with Sales & Product leaders to influence pricing strategy and execution 

  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate stakeholders on key pricing principles, best practices, and processes 

  • Drive GTM pricing strategy across all industries, routes to market and offerings 

  • Lead regional rollout of new pricing guidance and discounting framework 

  • Drive customer migration strategy and playbook for pricing model changes 

  • Run controlled pricing pilots to test and learn new models to support future monetization models and commercial strategies 

  • Working with sales, customer, and competitive inputs, identify new cross-portfolio packaging opportunities as well as help refine good/better/best for simplification and growth 

  • Transform key insights into actionable recommendations and communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders and senior executive leadership 

  • Use quantitative techniques & research, economic value drivers and customer value perception interviews (willingness to pay) to rationalize the programs across various routes to market and verticals in alignment with customer outcomes 

  • Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed organization spanning multiple functions 

 

What We're Looking For: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field 

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a GTM monetization/pricing strategy role. May consider candidates with monetization/pricing experience and a combination of the following areas: consulting, strategic finance or corporate strategy, deal strategy & value management, ideally within a SaaS, enterprise software, or cloud platforms company to equal 5 years 

  • Ability to simplify complex concepts 

  • Experience at pricing, monetization strategies, and deal structuring 

  • Experience in working closely with Sales & customers 

  • Action-oriented to solve problems and get a lot done in short timeframes 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, also at the executive level 

  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization and for customers 

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive cross-functional initiatives 

  • Strong organization and project-management skills, including the ability to meet demanding, evolving, and often competing deadlines 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field 

  • Business consulting and/or pricing experience for a SaaS company 

  • Knowledge of pricing tools and software
