The Director, Financial Planner/ Wealth Advisor will support the Senior Managing Director of Financial Planning in providing comprehensive, sophisticated, fee based financial planning analyses and recommendations to the clients of Webster Private Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, review and summarize client’s personal and financial information.
  • Prepare analyses and projections including, but not limited to, cash flow, education prefunding, executive benefits analyses, philanthropic giving, estate planning, etc. based on data collected and client objectives using software such as eMoney and/or Excel spreadsheets.
  • Present financial plans and analyses to clients.
  • Update financial plans to reflect changes in client’s personal and financial situation as well as for changes in tax law and investment environment.
  • Research technical issues such as complex estate planning techniques, e.g., GRATs, CRTs, etc., executive benefits considerations, e.g., Section 16(b), etc., and various tax related issues.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of tax law, regulations and investment climate.
  • Work collaboratively with Private Bank colleagues to strengthen and expand their client relationships.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or JD a plus.
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
  • Minimum seven to ten years relevant experience. 
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and strong aptitude in mastering financial planning software such as eMoney.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal a must.
  • Cover letter indicating your experience with providing financial planning analyses to high net worth individuals.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 USD to $160,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
