Job Title: Senior Director of Internal Controls and SOX Compliance

Department: Controllership

FLSA Status: Exempt / Non-Exempt (For HR only)

Position Overview:

The Senior Director SOX Compliance will be responsible for overseeing the SOX function within the Controllership organization, working directly with business process owners to manage existing SOX controls, identify control gaps, remediate control deficiencies, including business process redesign, policies, procedures, documentation, evidence evaluation and system enhancements. This position will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee company-wide SOX program.

· Perform risk assessment, control design, flowchart development, and process design activities.

· Continuously monitor control design and assess business changes to implement new processes and controls.

· Oversee process walkthroughs and identification of design or other gaps in the control process.

· Perform assessment over identified control deficiencies and propose and monitor remediation plans through final control deficiency remediation.

· Manage reporting of SOX control deficiencies and remediation plans as part of quarterly reporting to the Audit Committee.

· Interact with senior management, including CFO, and audit committee as part of the reporting process.

· Oversee in-scope SOC-1 Type II reports and manage complementary user entity controls (CUEC) mapping, including sub-service organizations.

· Oversee controls related to key report testing and information produced by entity (IPE), including implementation of a testing plan over IPE.

· Coordinate with internal and external audit on the audit plan for testing and remediation of controls.

· Provide SOX training and best practices for control and process owners.

· Field SOX inquiries from business partners and propose process and control changes as necessary.

· Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting

· CPA certification.

· Minimum of 12 years related work experience applying GAAP accounting, including minimum of 6 years in risk advisory/SOX industry experience within a large, multi-national company public company

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

· High degree of technical proficiency, including specific experience overseeing SOX programs.

· Experience evaluating internal controls, identifying control gaps, and developing remediation plans.

· Strong project management and prioritization skills.

· Able to influence, act collaboratively, and drive results through others.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.

· Minimal travel for annual and ad hoc team meetings

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $179,900.00 - $270,200.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
