About the Role

This role will oversee the day to day management of unit-linked funds in the areas of unit creation, fund accounting and unit pricing as well as monitoring control governance and audit processes

Responsible on the day-to-day ULB operations, that cover:

  • assist in developing procedures, standards to manage the daily management of unit-linked funds
  • review net asset valuation and unit price provided by TPA, using the relevant validation tools;
  • liaison person to contact the Third Party Administrator on the matters related to electronic download of unit price into the policy administration system;
  • point of contact for publication of unit price purposes;
  • on every valuation day, monitoring and controlling the unit creation and cancellation process to ensure the transactions do not cause fund performance dilution;
  • manage the review and change of unit pricing basis;
  • monitor backdating of transactions to ensure these are adequately controlled;
  • monitor profit and loss arising from backdating;
  • oversee the reconciliation exercise of units and value of units;
  • involved in the unit pricing errors management process;
  • be involved in the changes to fund range including additions and restricting of unit-linked funds;
  • assist in managing the policies related to ULB that are under the care of Finance, for example, seed money, unit price error management and escalation and Unit Pricing basis.
