About the Role
We are looking for a resourceful candidate who can contribute to the risk team with a focus in credit risk and support market risk area. The right calibre will take the lead to develop the credit risk management framework, validate internal credit rating, update credit limits structure and risk assessment for exceptions; and support SAA, listed equity monitoring, etc.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead credit risk governance by identifying of emerging risk; providing high quality and practical recommendations for risk mitigants
- Provide clear risk opinions and recommendations for policy / limit exception request; and escalate timely to senior management when trend of credit default risk is identified
- Administer credit risk policy with limit calibration and periodic review of policy / limit; supervise relevant risk exposures and compliance
- Be responsible for internal credit rating framework and ensure ratings and limits are at appropriate level at all time by checking obligors' credit profile, rating validation meetings and taking relevant actions
- Lead credit risk analytics covering individual obligor, industry sector, country, credit ratings as well as overall credit exposure, etc. and provide high quality analysis the suggestions
- Support risk reporting and analysis for risk committee discussion
- Support overall risk management by sharing consistent management philosophy in framework development with internal training within the broader credit risk and market risk team
- Cover risk monitoring for asset classes and risk assessment on SAA proposals as well as other strategic initiatives of AIA Group
- Highly collaborate with other teams on projects, such as IFRS9 and credit default charge; be AIA representative to handle regulators and auditor, etc. and maintain close working relationship across AIA Group and the entities
Minimum Job Requirements:
- 12-15 years of experience in insurance or financial institutions in credit risk, market risk, APAC bond markets, structured finance or equivalent; qualified actuary is welcome
- Highly numerate and analytical with proven problem solving skills in proactive approach
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
- Cheerful and collaborative to drive team achievement
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in written and oral Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage
