For our Vascular Division, we are recruiting a Trade Show and Event Specialist to be based in our EMEA Headquarters in Diegem, Belgium.
The Trade Show and Event Specialist supports marketing and medical affairs department in developing and organizing external congresses to drive business results. The Specialist will also lead internal meetings and events development and execution.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute external congresses and internal meetings within pre-defined budget and in line with product branding principles and overall Abbott brand identity guidelines
Develop and execute communication tools within pre-defined budget and in line with product branding principles and overall Abbott brand identity guideline
Provide support to Affiliates in producing brand-consistent congress and meeting materials
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the communication channels, templates, target audiences, impact, assessment…
Track and analyze competition presence, branding and communication in congresses
Stay ahead of the latest development on meetings with healthcare professionals and implement the latest compliance guidelines including MedTech Ethical code
Coordinate the process of congresses and events execution between external and internal parties to ensure a smooth and efficient execution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and affiliates on the implementation of congresses
Your Profile:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Advertising Communications or equivalent.
5+ years working experience with similar responsibilities in the environment of preferably a larger multinational company within the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare business or similar at a communication agency, with good business understanding.
Strong experience in organizing congresses and meetings.
Demonstrate excellence in project management, result driven, respect deadlines, cross-functional teamwork and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for working in the healthcare industry and an entrepreneurial, take-charge, change-agent spirit are wanted.
Ability to apply strategic thinking, as well as attention to detail.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Team player.
Flexible and eager to stay on top of the new developments in event management and communication.
Strong verbal and written English communications skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
