JOB OVERVIEW:

The Quality Compliance Coordinator role organizes and executes the foundational tasks of Quality Compliance. This position ensures food safety and quality through the execution and maintenance of the VDF Positive Hold and Release program, the logging and interpretation of product analytical results, and the communication of pertinent compliance information with relevant departments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform positive hold and release duties on ingredients and finished products per internal policy.
  • Coordinate analysis of raw materials and finished product for chemical, physical, and microbiological properties.
  • Maintain testing schedule and track lead times for various analyses, both internal and external.
  • Interpret analytical results against established ingredient and finished product specifications.
  • Communicate testing and disposition information intra-and interdepartmentally.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries as appropriate, including testing status and lead time updates.

JOB EXPERIENCE:

  • One year minimum applicable experience required
  • Experience in agriculture, food manufacturing, or dietary supplement Quality Assurance and/or Manufacturing preferred

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Intelligent, organized, detail-oriented, good work ethic, positive attitude
  • Strong prioritization and time-management skills
  • Ability to think critically and analytically
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in basic computing with ability to assimilate new programs and applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • General office requirements, including lifting samples and documents with weight of less than 25 pounds.
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
