Prepare and analyze complex financial data for presenting and supporting disclosures in SEC filings. Prepare certain sections of SEC filings on Form 10K and 10Q. Compile and review various financial statements for SEC and stand-alone regulatory filings in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Monitor the month-end consolidation of all subsidiaries in accordance with US GAAP and conduct analyses of related accounts during month-end close. Analyze complex balance sheet and income statement accounts in accordance with GAAP and Western Union accounting policies. Collaborate with business partners to analyze and resolve financial reporting issues. Design and develop ad hoc reporting and take on a leadership role in initiating and implementing process improvements. Assist with complex accounting projects, such as system implementations and purchase accounting. Research complex technical accounting issues and write technical memos including conclusions on accounting positions. Mentor and assist with training other accountants and specialists. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to Western Union, LLC at 7001 E Belleview Ave., Denver, CO 80237. Salary Range: $90,150 to $150,250 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus 2 years of professional experience as a Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, or any occupation/position/job title involving public accounting and financial reporting.

Must also have the following special skills:

2 years of professional experience working with financial and accounting departments and multiple management levels to deliver comprehensive solutions that exceed client expectations; 2 years of professional experience utilizing data visualization tools including Tableau and Microsoft Suite; 2 years of professional experience working across geographies and functions to prepare financial statements and SEC filings; 2 years of professional experience utilizing relational databases, query tools, and statistical software; 2 years of professional experience utilizing generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC regulations to prepare financial statements and SEC filings; and 1 year of professional experience utilizing Power BI and SQL.

Annual base salary gross:  $90,150 to $150,250 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the Western Union salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of Western Union’s total compensation package for employees.
