Primary Function: The Workday Benefits Support Analyst provides the Wayne-Sanderson Farms Benefits team with technical support in the Workday Benefit technology focus areas of Eligibility, Reporting and Configuration. 

The Workday Benefits Support Analyst will be responsible for technical support of all aspects of employee benefits within the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role requires a understanding of benefits administration as it relates to the Workday system to include eligibility, reporting and configuration.  The job holder must have excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical resource with respect to the Workday (WD) benefit module, processes, procedures, and compliance.
  • Manage the Workday Benefits Module to include updates to vendor integration, benefits data integrity and Workday Help Text.
  • Work with HRIS on selecting quarterly updates to be installed ensuring that links and other connectivity are in working order after each system update.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and updates within the Workday system related to employee benefits.
  • Collaborate with HRIS team to troubleshoot and resolve any system issues related to benefits administration.
  • Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Distribute Benefits communications/plan documents within the Workday system..
  • Work with the Workday Weekly reports to resolve all issues
  • Maintain eligibility rules and verifies benefits transaction for the organization
  • Act as the Benefits Workday Help administrator and Governance representative

  • Handle escalations within the benefit platform of WD
  • Reports escalated issues to the benefits team workstream leaders
  • Forms strong partnerships with WD SMEs within the company’s different business units (IT, Payroll, etc.)
  • Communicate with OSV (our benefits service center partner) to achieve consistency of process and execution.
  • Participate in identification of root cause of WD BPs and provide solutions, training, and support
  • Create, author, review, train and revise process documentation and content by obtaining feedback on processes and procedures and collaborating with business partners
  • Effective communication skills via telephone, email, and in-person
  • Must safeguard sensitive information and uphold all security standards
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic benefit terms knowledge with analytical skills: strong research and follow up skills and detailed oriented
  • Customer service experience with the ability to multi-task and provide professional communication to stake holders
  • Ability to work independently with the flexibility to adopt to a changing environment
  • Ability to make decisions utilizing sound judgment
  • Must value and promote team spirit, have outstanding interpersonal skills and exhibit professionalism within the workplace
  • Must possess solid research and follow-up skills.
  • Must be able to cope in fast-paced, demanding environment and manage sensitive, confidential issues and information

Education

  • Associates degree or higher preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of Workday Benefits configuration experience 
  • Benefits and Report Writer knowledge

Experience

  • Must have knowledge of ERISA, IRS QLE, COBRA; other applicable federal regulations
  • Proficient PC Skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, HRIS, etc.)
  • Master Excel Skills

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Advanced Workday Benefits Eligibility, Reporting, and Configuration knowledge

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Office

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of intense concentration
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and extended shifts as needed
  • Travel up to 10%
