Position Summary

Do you want to make a large impact in your next role? The primary goal of the Trade Formulary Insights team is to drive efficiencies and alignment across Trade through organization and collaboration. The Senior Manager is a critical contributor to the team’s duty of providing timely, relevant, and actionable insights to Trade organization leaders, including developing line-of-sight to budgetary concerns and considerations, and gathering and distributing data to create executive reports.

In this high impact role, you will develop dashboards, processes, and tools to deliver actionable insights to leadership, both executive and within the Trade organization. You will also be responsible for identifying and recommending opportunities to drive business growth through analysis of PBM claims and rebate data.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Define metrics reporting approach and process: Build a holistic, data-driven approach to support the Trade Strategy and Operations. Define the data needs, definitions, ownership, governance, and infrastructure requirements to enable “always-on” data that provides meaningful metrics to the Trade organization.

  • Recommend, design, develop, and maintain measurement dashboards: Develop the necessary reporting, data, and dashboards to measure current state of the organization and identify areas of opportunity.

  • Facilitate, or conduct, the collection and validation of data and information to support strategic decisions.

  • Insight development: Gather data, analyze, and synthesize it into executive level reports, as required or desired by Trade Strategy and Operations leadership.

  • Understand key Trade initiatives and identify opportunities to leverage Business Intelligence tools to inform decision making.

  • Establish workplans, timelines, and deliverables for analytics and Business Intelligence projects, effectively weighing business and technical tradeoffs.

  • Share insights across teams to inform collaborative efforts.

  • Successfully communicate key findings and performance metrics to cross-functional teams and senior leadership to inform key business decisions.  

To be successful, you will utilize your ability to dissect complex analytics and draw meaningful insights for senior leadership, as well as your experience communicating complex issues and relaying information in an effective manner.  Your experience coordinating across cross-functional teams with the ability to elevate critical issues is also key.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leading development of analytics, reporting, and dashboards, leveraging tools such as SQL, Tableau, Python, and R.

  • 7+ years of related work experience
  • Familiarity with data modeling, data architecture and governance concepts.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in a clear, logical, and consistent manner with all audiences, with varying levels of technical background.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with non-analytic business partners, including executive leadership. Ability to elicit business needs and formulate, propose, and refine analytic solutions, to meet the business needs and to drive efficiency, effective improvements, and business value.

  • Excellent project management skills with ability to lead and engage in multiple projects and initiatives and appropriately, prioritize her/his own time, and adjust priorities as needed to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated experience exercising independent judgement and initiative to construct and execute complex analyses.

  • Highest level of attention to detail when working within legal and compliance regulations, while working with sensitive, confidential, and protected data.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with data from Pharma, PBMs, or Healthcare.

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.

  • Strong quantitative skills, including relevant experience in logistic regression, cluster analysis, time series analysis, inferential statistics, and experimental design.

  • Intellectual curiosity



Education

Bachelor’s degree required

Major in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or related STEM field a plus

MBA, Master’s Degree, or PhD preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $190,700.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
