What you will do

In this vital role you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing the various India HR operational processes for Amgen India ensuring efficient and effective HR service delivery. This role involves handling various HR functions, including staff lifecycle management, HR systems administration, and compliance with local labor laws and regulations in India.
- Staff Lifecycle Management: Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for new hires and departing staff. Maintain accurate staff records, including personal information, employment history, and other relevant data. Assist in the management of staff benefits, leave administration, and performance appraisal processes.
- HR Systems and Data Management: Manage and update HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning. Ensure the confidentiality and security of staff data in compliance with data protection regulations.
- Compliance and Policy Administration: Support compliance with local labor laws and regulations, including statutory reporting and documentation. Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. Handle staff inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Payroll and Compensation: Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews and incentive schemes.
- Staff Engagement: Support HR initiatives aimed at improving staff engagement and satisfaction. Assist in organizing staff events, training sessions, and development programs.

What we expect of you
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of HR operations experience or a similar role OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of HR operations experience or a similar role OR
- Diploma and 7 to 9 years of HR operations experience or a similar role
- Experience with HR software and systems: Preferably Workday
- Solid knowledge of HR practices and regulations in India
- Proficiency in MS Office: Particularly Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling HR tasks
Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
