Job Description

Brookfield is a global asset manager focused on real estate, infrastructure, renewable energy & transition, private equity and private credit with over $850 billion of assets under management.

The Private Funds Group (PFG) manages institutional relationships and raises capital for Brookfield’s various private funds.

The Fundraise Management Team is a newly established division responsible for supporting the end to end fundraising for Brookfield’s various private funds, from product approval to post closing. PFG is seeking a Vice President to design, build and manage the fundraising support for our open ended funds and team.

JOB PURPOSE: (prime focus and objective of the position)

The Vice President of Real Estate Fundraise Management role will lead the fundraising lifecycle for real estate private equity closed ended funds, ensuring all stakeholders in the organization contribute their expertise into the design of the fundraising strategy and coordination of all stakeholder groups in delivering their respective roles throughout each stage of the lifecycle.

  • In this role, the Vice President will:

  • Lead the close ended Fundraise Management team in all stages of the fundraising life cycle, collaborating with internal functional partners and business group leads as well as interfacing investors with and external advisors.

  • Develop and implement strategy for generating investor interest and driving momentum, working closely with Client Relationship Managers to meet quarterly and annual fundraising objectives

  • Facilitate key decisions throughout fundraise process with all stakeholder groups.

  • Manage relationships across multiple stakeholder groups including Diligence Management, Marketing & Content, Client Relationship Management, Investor Relations, Legal, Compliance, Finance & Operations and the Investment Teams and Product Specialists

  • Strategically review fund-specific marketing materials, including offering memoranda, investor presentations and other documents related to private funds

  • Coordinate road shows, conferences, diligence sessions, and investor meetings

  • Act as senior representative in GCG leadership meetings, as required

  • Collaborate with stakeholders for the development and retention of junior team members, creating and promoting effective training programs for new team members.

  • Identify issues and proactively manage risk

Qualifications Required:

  • Post graduate degree in finance, business management or another relevant discipline

  • Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in fundraising for private fund strategies or investments

  • Demonstrated understanding of the LP landscape and preferences, styles and requirements across key regions and investor types

  • Strong strategy/product knowledge and ability to communicate (internally) details of fund approach

  • Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities and investment reporting experience.

  • Experience in high volume processes and technology enabled solutions

  • Experience in real estate, infrastructure and/or private equity asset classes strongly preferred

  • Institutional fund marketing sales and support experience strongly preferred

Salary Range: $230K - $250K

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations
