The PLM Process Analyst is responsible for supporting the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) governance process for Micron including process adherence and continual process improvement initiatives. They will be responsible for measuring process KPIs and monitoring the process performance to optimize its efficiency and effectiveness. They will also chair a PLM process governing core team that periodically meets to review and approve strategic process improvement roadmap and proposed changes to the process.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Work with the PLM Process Owner to set the vision, goals, strategy, and metrics for PLM governance process.
  • Ensure process delivers maximum business value and economic return to Micron.
  • Support the execution of a process roadmap to continually improve health and maturity of the process.
  • Align process roadmap with active programs across Micron that intersect with PLM.
  • Collaborate with a cross functional team of business leaders from Business Units, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, and others to execute to the PLM process roadmap.
  • Define, monitor, and ensure transparency around process health metrics.
  • Align system functionality and capability in accordance with the demands of the defined roadmap.
  • Work with IT to develop and prioritize system enhancement requests based on the needs of the PLM process and its stakeholders.
  • Manage process risks and recommendations for mitigation and long-term improvements.
  • Monitor and periodically report on process performance to executive team.
  • Drive organizational awareness, education, and advocacy.
  • Support PLM Process Owner and Global Quality to prepare for and participate in internal and external quality certification audits, and to resolve any findings from these audits.

Required Competencies:

  • Good understanding of Product Lifecycle Management concepts and phased gate development.
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to higher management.
  • Excellent people and communication skills, an ability to lead through others, a results-oriented sense of urgency, and a focus on continuous improvement.  
  • Strong understanding of how high-tech companies such as Micron operate.
  • Ability to influence across organizations.
  • Strong business acumen and general understanding of product development.
  • Strong process and program management skills.
  • Strong people change management skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Business Units
  • Supply Chain
  • Operations
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering management, or similar major required.
  • MBA desired
  • PMP certification desired
