POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Workday Financials Senior Manager is responsible for implementing a roadmap of projects and activities to support the strategic vision of each business unit. The ideal candidate is customer service oriented and enjoys helping business teams achieve success through optimizing the use of Workday Financials products.  The candidate has hands on knowledge and substantial configuration experience in two or more Financial modules and possesses strong interpersonal skills to deal positively with various stakeholders.  This candidate is enthusiastic about Workday Financial product offerings and stays up to date on biannual release features.

OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Works with business to define requirements and offers Workday best practices and optimal solutions to discussions.  Defines scope of work and formulates project plan and timeline

  • Actively leads and works on multiple projects at a time.  Possesses a clear understanding of the project benefits and risks, and clearly communicates to team members as well as stakeholders 

  • Collaborates with business partners to configure business processes and routing rules, including unit testing, regression testing, and end to end testing of new functionality

  • Adheres to segregation of duties principles and understands protocols around testing and sign off before promoting or migrating changes to a higher environment

  • Supports internal audit and SOX readiness work as it relates to User Access, Change Management, and Segregation of Duties in the Workday platform

  • Supports Accounting and Controllership teams by managing Blackline application, specifically scheduling of integrations from Workday to Blackline and user access


WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • 5+  years' Workday Financials experience, including proficiency in two or more of the following:  Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Revenue Management/Contract to Cash, Procurement, Expenses, and Security

  • Workday Pro Certification in one or more financial area preferred

  • Project and Program Management experience 

  • Working knowledge of Adaptive Planning a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style

  • Experience leading Biannual Release efforts, including reviewing What’s New, engaging key stakeholders, and leading change management efforts

  • Proficient in MS Excel and Power Point

EDUCATION:

  • BS/BA in Accounting/Finance, Information Systems or Computer Science

  • Workday Pro strongly preferred

  • PMP or other professional project management certification desired
