Job Summary
• This role is responsible for leading large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. The role identifies and evaluates new technologies and drives innovation. The role acts as a functional manager and leverages domain expertise to influence decisions, develop strategy, functional policy and direction.

Responsibilities
• Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for mechanical and thermal design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit.
• Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.
• Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives
• Leads and/or executes engineering projects and spearheads research and development of new technologies, as appropriate.
• Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; integrates suggestions, updates, and innovations into overall architecture.
• Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.
• Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members on mechanical and thermal design innovation and excellence.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, implementation across hardware development lifecycle, or a related field.

The base pay range for this role is $139,300.00 to $181,800.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
