We are looking for a Specialist Strategy Advisor to manage service delivery within Digital and Information Technology (D&IT).
In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders (IT, business, supply chain) to effectively monitor and present delivery of IT services, as well as drive continuous improvement. You will also have the unique opportunity to collaborate with and present to senior executives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7 years of experience in IT service delivery
  • Understanding of overall IT delivery models, work execution, problem identification and service delivery
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, information technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, skills, training, and education
  • Demonstration of effective communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and influence to drive change
  • Strong stakeholder-influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Current knowledge of the global IT product and service market and trends
  • Basic understanding of technology contract terms and legal issues
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions and escalate in a timely fashion when required
  • Knowledge of business-case development, financial analysis, and management
  • Knowledge of internal and external sources of data and analytical skills to support the development and execution of strategies
  • Excellent complex problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively handle tense situations. Looks to resolve the root cause, not just the specific problem
  • Ability to determine appropriate levels of risk acceptance
     

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and align department objectives with associated metrics for delivery of services
  • Establish and/or approve internal and external practices, standards, and processes for engagement with external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and mature key delivery programs with focus on stakeholder collaboration, business planning, analytics, project management, finance, and communication
  • Develop, through a collaborative and inclusive approach, a strategy to steward various matrices as it relates to delivery of services
  • Present all pertinent analyses and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management, and propose updates and improvements to existing strategies
  • Keep abreast of industry trends that have an impact on the D&IT strategy using external sources
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders on scheduling meetings and other administrative activities 
     

Location and other Key Details: 

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W 
  • This is an office based role, hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday 
  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
