As our Sales Manager (SSD & Bakery), you are part of the Commercial Team and play a key role in providing ongoing support to partner accounts and identifying, and developing new revenue opportunities within the accounts.

About You

We’re recruiting a Sales Manager, SSD & Bakery (食品添加剂) reporting to the Category Sales Head (SSD & Bakery), China. 

This is a varied role for a person who has a strong sense of urgency and has been in the food ingredient industry or those with a flavor house background.  You will work in a team of 2 and support the growth of specific accounts being assigned to you.   You should also have excellent communication skills to work in partnership with various team members from other functions (Technical, Supply Chain etc)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Achieve business targets via high-quality support to accounts.
  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts to promote T&L capabilities and implement key business initiatives.
  • Secure existing business and identify new opportunities
  • Support business development and implementation in expanding the customer base in the Soup Sauces Dressings (SSD) & Bakery category to achieve the annual sales contribution margin target.
  • Partner with GEA Manager, in China to formulate customer business plans.   
  • Coordinate sales activity with technical service to identify business opportunities in the SSD & Bakery related category.
  • Partner with the Product Manager and Marketing Manager to customize Go 2 Market presentation materials for the Chinese market.
  • Establish and maintain a good relationship with the existing and new customers.
  • Provide competitors' business, market trends & business potential on the customer base.
  • Complete reports and business requirements promptly
  • Manage various sales processes within and across multiple accounts (CDP, FCST, DD etc)

Location

This role is assigned to be based in Xuhui District, Shanghai.

What You’ll have

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in food ingredients/flavor house or related industry
  • Degree in food science or related discipline
  • Technical application skills/knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Must have existing customers who are in the manufacturing of Soup Sauces Dressings & Bakery products.
  • Experience in the product category of Sweetener and Texturants/Starch is an added advantage.
  • Experience in value-added selling
  • Proactive self-starter and a good team player
  • Able to travel domestically up to 20% of the time.
