Primary Purpose
- Create and update dynamic analytical models for the SBV sales team and volume-based businesses.
- Manage analysis and modeling to exacting standards to generate operational insights and provide monthly financial accruals and allocations.
Principal Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Understand all volume-based business agreements to ensure monthly reporting from the business partners is complete and revenue is being calculated accurately. Prepare monthly accruals and ACH allocations to the shopping centers for each business.
- Analyze weekly and monthly metrics to identify trends for each volume-based business. Communicate those trends to the business owners so that they may address any issues and ensure maximum opportunity to generate revenue.
- Manage the monthly forecasting and accrual processes for all volume-based businesses – need to have a strong understanding of credits & debits in the general ledger.
- Ability to evaluate and adapt the volume-based business forecast models as needed and update the volume-based business summary report.
- Create budget models for all volume-based businesses using known trends, business events, agreement terms, etc.
- Update SBV pipeline report twice a week and adapt the dynamic model as needed.
- Update and adapt weekly SBV revenue pacing and YOY status reports for EVP.
- Prepare weekly summary of the revenue change (+/-) in deal activity.
- Generate and distribute the contracted revenue reports for the SBV sales team monthly.
- Create special request reports/analyses for EVP, and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Meet deadlines for all accruals, allocations, reporting, etc. on a consistent basis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics
- Advanced Excel skills (power pivot, pivot tables, slicers, SUMIFs, IF statements, lookups, data tables, measures, etc.)
- Extensive experience using Power BI for data visualization, reports, dashboards, apps, etc.
- Experience with Access, Salesforce.com, SQL and Python a plus
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to build dynamic (interactive) analytical and forecast models
- Basic accounting skills: strong understanding of credits, debits, and accruals
- Logical thinker that is highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to interpret and understand contract language
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and demonstrate initiative
- Flexible and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- A problem solver who not only can develop and maintain multiple analyses, but can interpret the data and effectively communicate actionable insights
- Minimum of 8 years experience
