The Opportunity

Vermilion Energy has a Lease Operator exciting opportunity within the US Business Unit. This opportunity will be based in our Hilight Field Office near Wright, Wyoming and will report directly to the Production Foreman. The Lease Operator role is an integral part of the US Operations Team and supports the safe and competent operations. The successful candidate will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.

What you will do

  • Participate in all HSE related training, KPI programs, work permits, inspections, observations and emergency response situations.

  • Safely complete daily well routes to operate oil and gas wells associated with production facilities.

  • Analyze surface and subsurface production equipment performance

  • Perform routine maintenance on location equipment to maximize production

  • Accurately Input daily production data into production accounting systems

  • Continuous skills development through industry training courses and infield competence training

  • Follow operational rules and regulations that are currently in place or will be required in the future by Vermilion, WDEQ, BLM and WGOCC

What you will bring

  • 3-5 years of Oil and Gas industry experience

  • Production Operations experience is required

  • Computer skills level sufficient to utilize production accounting software and to utilize company website functions

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to perform role with minimal direct supervision

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
