IH&S includes 5 focused business lines: Integrated Analytical Solutions, IVD/Bio, Connections, Optical Systems and Optical Filters. The global Team brings extensive experience with over 1200 colleagues across 7 sites located in Rohnert Park CA, Oak Harbor WA, Middleboro MA, Bristol CT, Carlsbad, CA, Rochester, NY and Kawaguchi, Japan. Markets include Chromatography, In Vitro Diagnostics, and Biotechnology and more. Products include Optical Filters, Illumination Modules, Optical Subsystems, Column Hardware, Degassers, Fluidic Connections, Manifolds, Pumps, Pump Components, Subsystems and Valves.
Reporting Relationships:
The Vice President Sales & Marketing directly manages the Sales and Marketing organization and reports to the President of IDEX Health and Science (IH&S) and is part of the IH&S Leadership Team.
Responsibilities:
The VP Sales & Marketing is responsible for the sales & marketing strategy, execution, and performance. This leader will provide the leadership, strategic vision and functional expertise required to effectively lead global Sales and Marketing colleagues across North America, Europe and Asia. They will also be accountable for building and leading the strategy for training and development of the sales function. The global team will develop and deploy strategies to achieve sustainable, profitable growth. We are open to consider remote based candidates, however we prefer candidates based near Rohnert Park, CA or Rochester, NY.

Strategy: develop, communicate, and lead the strategic plan and execution for sales and marketing. This includes collaborating with IH&S Leadership to support overall strategic planning.
Customer intimacy: manage and cultivate key strategic relationships at the most senior level in the Life Sciences industry with customers and channel partners. She/he will maintain and grow strong relationships in the Life Science instruments space through collaboration.
KPI Leadership: embrace the IDEX Operating Model, effectively deliver on key metrics such as pipeline health, orders and revenue growth, price, profitability, employee engagement. Includes leading standard work and key business processes to effectively forecasting and lead teams.
Cross-functional collaboration: effectively collaborate and partner with VP GMs, Business Line Leaders and Functional Leaders (Finance, HR, Operations) to encourage debate and invite diverse perspectives that drive better business outcomes through collaboration and innovation.
Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time.
Requirements & Experience:
A dynamic leader with a successful track record of growth and exceeding plan.
Global Sales & Marketing Leadership experience in ~300M+ businesses with specific experience in Life science Instruments (analytical instruments and biotechnology) required.
Proven record of building a high performing organization; demonstrated success in leading Sales and Marketing organizations and building critical capabilities in a complex selling environment
Deep knowledge of technologies and applications in the Life Sciences / Biotech market (i.e next generation sequencing, PCR, spatial profiling, DNA synthesis, chromatography, mass spec, and common molecular biology methods) preferred.
Track record as an agent of change, who has established customer-centric and growth-minded teams that lead through collaborative partnerships.
Demonstrated success in leading global teams with a strong culture and results orientation.
Excellent communication, relationship building and leadership skills with ability to evaluate organizations and its talent, as well as align them with customer and organizational goals.
A hands-on leader who leads by example and inspires others, at all levels to strive for success and excellence.
Experience integrating acquired entities successfully into a larger corporate environment.
Bachelors degree required - in Science, Engineering, MBA preferred

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $210,000.00 - $315,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
