Overview of Marketing

Nissan has a strong reputation for innovation. It is the responsibility of our product marketing, communications and marketing planning teams to ensure that the Nissan brand and product portfolio are successfully communicated and maintain a strong presence in the UK marketplace. Nissan continues to optimise product development and deliver highly innovative technology creating truly state-of-the-art vehicles. The teams work closely with world renowned advertising and PR agencies to support the delivery of exciting initiatives.

Products you will be managing will primarily focused on Electric Vehicles to be confirmed/allocated on appointment,

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Product:

  • Propose, create & maintain vehicle specification in line with customer demand and competitors
  • Manage product running changes e.g. trim changes
  • Complete all future product contracts, including volume, share & profit throughout product lifecycle

Performance management:

  • Input into monthly sales reforecasts
  • Manage product financials including wholesale turnover, incentives and gross profit 
  • Identify gaps to sales targets and propose countermeasures

Competitiveness:

  • Monitor competitor customer offers
  • Understand product specifications and those of key competitors
  • Interrogate residual value and central pricing reports to determine product pricing and offers across all sales channels
  • Propose quarterly and tactical campaign activity

Availability/Supply :

  • Monitor demand against supply
  • Steer production changes based on customer demands and market conditions
  • Propose countermeasures to reduce stock risk and long term stock

Incentive Management:

  • Plan campaigns with acute accuracy to stay within quarterly budgets
  • Identify trends which may jeopardize budgets and propose counter measures
  • Prepare business cases to secure additional incentives to maintain competitiveness and order take

New Model Launch:

  • New product champion and product expert
  • Actively manage multiple new EV model launches through 2025 and 2026
  • Finalizing contracts and product financials (including pricing, incentives, dealer margin, market share, and channel mix)
  • Developing pre launch offers to ensure strong customer order bank prior to start of sales
  • Secure strong residual values to optimise incentives and customer monthly payments 
  • Product training, internally, agencies and third parties, dealer network and media
  • Coordination of all Nissan Motor GB (NMGB) departments for strong product launches
  • Manage necessary processes to start of sales including supplying data for insurance ratings, SMMT registration codes, residual value data etc
  • Ownership of trial vehicles
  • Validate all digital, national and dealer communications

People Management:

  • Management of one support staff
  • Deputise as required

Skills & Experience

  • Product or Marketing Planning experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor degree desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package, especially excel
  • Field or operational role preferable
  • Full Drivers license
