Columbia/Barnard Hillel is looking for a passionate and creative professional to serve as its inaugural Director of Campus Affairs and External Relations. This role will focus on supporting antisemitism response and faculty engagement, and work alongside a cohort of other Campus Impact professionals doing this important work on campuses across North America . Working closely with Hillel International, campus Hillel staff and students, community stakeholders, and University partners, the Director of Campus Affairs and External Relations will build and sustain long-term relationships and implement a strategy to shift the climate on campus. The ideal candidate will deeply understand today’s campus climate and have a passion for engaging University stakeholders in shaping and advancing advocacy. They will leverage their relationship-building expertise to work across campus and the local Jewish community to ensure Hillels and the students they serve feel supported, connected to resources, and able to navigate even the most complex of antisemitic incidents on campus today.
The Director of Campus Affairs and External Relations will report directly to the Chief of Staff and work closely with the Senior Leadership team. As part of the Campus Impact Advisor program, they will receive training, support, and guidance from the Associate Vice President Campus Antisemitism Solutions at Hillel International. As part of a cohort of other Campus Impact Advisors, this role will join a cadre of professionals working together in the fight against antisemitism on college campuses across North America.
