As an HR Data & Technology Business Partner, you’ll be the HR data governance business lead responsible for partnering with data owners, process owners, and data stewards to design and improve business processes that ensuring data integrity practices and alignment with data governance and security policies, standards, and procedures. Additionally, you'll represent HR in data governance forums across Capital and facilitate escalation and resolution of data challenges.

  • You have 3+ yrs experience with managing data governance by analyzing and prioritizing data-related requests, implementing strategies to ensure data integrity and compliance, and balancing competing priorities while advancing the HR strategic goals.
  • You can continuously enhance HR's data governance practices to ensure alignment with industry best practices. This includes defining data ownership, collaborating closely with other departments, providing essential training and support to data owners and stewards, and facilitating the advancement of data management and data quality by partnering with HR teams to implement and uphold data governance processes.  
  • You can analyze, design, and optimize business processes with a particular emphasis on data quality and controls related to data governance. This includes identifying controls for improvement, gathering, and documenting business requirements, and partnering with data owners, process owners and stewards to implement enhancements that improve data integrity and ensure compliance while also increasing efficiency and productivity.
  • You can effectively partner with the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) team and other Line of Business (LOB) data governance champions across Capital to establish and refine policy standards and procedures that impact HR. This involves collaborating to define functional requirements, conducting thorough testing to ensure alignment with these standards, serving as the point of contact to troubleshoot issues, and coordinating resolution and escalation, as necessary.
  • You can facilitate the creation and maintenance of a data inventory and business glossary for HR.
  • You can apply critical thinking, analytical skills, systems knowledge, and creativity to effectively identify, analyze, and solve problems; utilizing a variety of problem-solving techniques and strategies that champion data excellence practices that ensure safeguarding our data and data quality.
  • You can adeptly collaborate with individuals and teams from different departments or areas of expertise to achieve shared goals and objectives. This includes leveraging communication skills, active listening, and empathy to build strong working relationships and foster a culture of mutual respect and trust.
  • You are familiar with key functional areas of HR and have a highly developed understanding of the processes, procedures, workflows, and data management that support them.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $103,977-$166,363

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
