Department Overview
TDS Governance & Controls team (TDS G&C) is accountable to perform the 1B risk function (1st Line of Defense) supporting all TD Securities (TDS) businesses including Global Markets, Infrastructure, and Corporate Investment Banking (CIB).
Job Description
This role is part of Algos, Models & Business Managed Tools team within TDS G&C. The team works very closely with business heads across all Global Markets businesses, asset classes, and regions. The team is also the point of contact for key internal partners including Algo Risk Control (ARC), Model Risk, Model Validation, Enterprise Protect, Technology, Compliance, Audit, and regional leadership.
The purpose of this role is to support the team by coordinating the rollout of the new EUC Standards and Non-Model Risk Policy. Both are enterprise-wide initiatives that require coordination across all TDS stakeholders including all business and technology teams. Furthermore, there will be coordination with Model Risk Management (MRM) and Enterprise Protect. Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate efforts across all businesses (including businesses that do not currently own EUCs) to ensure all tools that meet the new EUC/RPA criteria are tracked and inventoried in EBoR.
Support efforts to ensure that all EUCs are also inventoried as Non-Models.
Tracking control implementation progress and identifying control gaps against both the EUC Standards and Non-Model Risk Policy.
Supporting various attestation processes throughout the year.
Providing guidance on standard and policy interpretation, ensuring alignment with the standard and policy owners.
Coordinating risk and control assessments against both policies for a large pool of stakeholders (tool owners) across all TDS business and technology teams.
Job Requirements
Experience coordinating enterprise scale projects at a large and complex organization.
Ability to manage and coordinate a high number (100+) of stakeholders.
Working knowledge of capital markets asset classes (e.g. fixed income, FX, equity/FI/FX derivatives, commodities) and regulatory environment.
Experience with end-to-end capital markets operations and the difference functions required to support a capital markets business (e.g. back office, risk & reporting functions, Finance).
Risk management and/or Governance & Controls experience within any of the Three Lines of Defense functions.
Ability to facilitate meetings to gather information from business and technology stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at multiple levels across both 1st line businesses and enterprise partners including 2nd line teams and audit.
