Leidos has an immediate opening for a systems engineering intern to plan and design system interfaces supporting integration of security software products with both Leidos-owned and third party devices. As a member of a cross-functional team representing software and devices, you’ll coordinate with Enterprise Product Teams to plan, design, and document interface solutions necessary to support system of systems (SoS) interoperability of our security products tocustomers worldwide. You’ll report to and work with the Lead Systems Engineer and will coordinate closely with Systems Integration Engineers, Security Engineers, Device Engineers, Software Architects, and Software Engineering development teams to understand requirements, objectives, expected use cases and the interfaces required to support them. You’ll develop approaches and plans to ensure complete and effective end-to-end exchange of data and between software and devices by creating, coordinating, refining, and publishing data flows and OpenAPI Specification (OAS) documentation. You’ll coordinate interface plans and approaches with the enterprise product teams and relevant device and interfaces stakeholders to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives and planning. You’ll help establish functional flow diagrams documenting the use of the interfaces between the software products and the relevant devices for the intended architecture and concept of operations. You’ll coordinate with metrics and UI teams to ensure interfaces not only support operational needs but also support operational and technical metrics for dashboards and reporting. You’ll support comprehensive integration and test efforts such as reviewing test plans and participating indevelopment integration tests, system integration tests, and certification testing.
