Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes within our awesome team.  This on-site role is integral to administering payroll, employee health and welfare plans and all other administrative support to the HR function and our employee community in both Canada and the US as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entries.

Reports To:      Human Resources Director

Essential Functions:

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of Workday HRIS and required and ad-hoc reporting
  • Oversight and maintenance of our payroll records in Canada and the US
  • Administer and process the required documents for the health and welfare plans, including enrolment, changes and terminations
  • Actively collaborate within our team as we work to support each other in our roles
  • Performs a customer service function by answering employee requests and questions and escalating as appropriate
  • Reconciles benefit statements
  • Actively assist with the recruitment, interview process and reference checks
  • Maintain both hard and digital employee files current
  • Perform orientation and update records for new team members
  • Partnering with QA department, create and maintain required training records and documentation
  • Generate and maintain required IT reports and IT tickets for employee changes
  • Assist with ad-hoc HR and DEIB projects
  • All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:                                                 

  • BA in Business, Human Resources or a related field
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering or Lean manufacturing environment
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Employee relations experience is most helpful
  • Demonstrated ability and experience working in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong time management skill with a proven ability to meet deadlines                                           

Computer Skills:                                              

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
