Your role:
As Head of Events at Global Relay, you are responsible for the successful project delivery of events across all our key accounts, managing and leading the global events team to build relationships and drive revenue. This is a hands-on, multifaceted role with room to grow - from creating new concept events, to managing large scale budgets.

Working proactively and thinking outside of the box, you are responsible for the growth of our compliance community and thought leadership network, ensuring the delivery of great speakers and valued events.

Sitting within the marketing team, you work closely with departments across the business to always ensure customer satisfaction and smooth project delivery.

We have a new office launching in New York in a prestigious location, with events facilities to match. Alongside our London office, the New York office will be our flagship location for events – offering a vibrant events scene for both customers and prospects. With global oversight, you are responsible for the consistent, successful delivery of events across both offices.

As well as delivering events, you will work across the business to create an events calendar to support internal and external events – from in-house roundtables, to ensuring we have significant presence at the most promising external industry conferences. 

Your job:

  • 360 management of in-person events, with a focus on operations
  • Commercial oversight and event strategy
  • Managing event schedules, timelines, and deadlines
  • Supplier sourcing and management
  • Large scale budget management
  • Managing event collaboration with marketing teams
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adhering to deadlines
  • Working well within a close-knit team
  • Onsite event delivery
  • Post event reporting

About you:

  • Excellent line management experience of teams of 4+
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in B2B events
  • Capable of creating detailed proposals and creative client pitching
  • Experience with RFP’s
  • In-depth knowledge of AV and production
  • Highly skilled in event operations, implementation, and execution of processes
  • Solid understanding of global venues, alongside excellent research skills
  • Confident in managing large scale budgets in multiple currencies
  • Able to support forecasting and revenue projections
  • Ensures consistency of company standards internally and externally enhancing the brand
  • Demonstrates outstanding time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate needs, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • Willing to take initiative and maintain a ‘can-do’ and flexible attitude
  • Possesses a creative and organized mindset
  • Consistently delivers a premium customer experience with an ‘above and beyond’ attitude
  • Proven experience with IT programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce, and PowerPoint

Compensation:
Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in accordance with the pay transparency laws of the state of New York. In addition to the annual base salary (range listed below), compensation for this role also includes a corporate bonus, extended health benefits, and 401k contributions, and (for applicable Sales roles) an enticing commission structure.

New York - Base Salary Range:
$130,000$180,000 USD
