CACI seeks a Damage Control SME (Lead Engineering Technician) ­­­­­­­­to assist in accomplishing its mission and objectives. This task will be executed from both remote location as well as waterfront/fleet concentration areas. You will bring Naval Shipboard Subject Matter Expertise specializing in Live Fire Test & Evaluation (LFT&E), Damage Control training and assessment, operation, repair, and maintenance of Hull/Mechanical & Electrical (HM&E) systems and Damage Control equipment and systems for surface ships.
 

The Opportunity:

  • Provide the Test Division on-site building yard test support expertise in Damage Control System


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or be able to obtain a clearance.
  • Typically has a bachelor’s degree or associate/Vocational/Technical education and 7+ work experience.
  • In lieu of bachelor’s degree: 4 years related experience and an additional 10 years of technically specific experience may be considered.
  • Military service operational experience, shipyard, or waterfront trade assignments.
  • Perform tasks with minimum supervision such as detailed information searches, correlation, and interpretation of technical data, and preparation of technical documents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in applicable engineering technology and the capability to apply this knowledge to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in field engineering, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of equipment and systems onboard ships.
  • Ability to write clear reports.
  • Ability to interface with team members, technical leads, and Project Managers
  • Ability to work alone on individual projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


Desired:

  • Navy experience
  • 10 years relevant experience in managing testing programs for DoD/Navy Ship Programs
  • Experience with Total Ship Survivability Trials (TSST) and Full Ship Shock Trials (FSST)
  • Ship check experience with Board of Inspections and Survey (INSURV) shipboard inspections.
  • Experienced with Damage Scenario Based Engineering Analysis (DSBEA)
  • Experience in maintenance and operational training for all damage control equipment, to include SCBA’s and Breathing Air systems (both installed and portable),
  • Experience in using Engineering Operating Sequencing System (EOSS) and Engineering Operating Casualty Control (EOCC) checklists.
  • DoD/Navy ACAT I Program experience.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$74,600-$156,700
