This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. As Finance Manager, you will provide support and partnership for US Commercial Finance with particular focus on Libre forecasting for Plan, rLBE, OEM processes including Market Access and pricing analysis. The role requires coordination with North America Area HQ to meet requirements and deadlines for the team, supports the Long Range Plan for US Commercial business and includes the management & enhancement of analytics to support understanding of submissions. The position requires strong people management, analytical, prioritization, and presentation skills as well as focus on process & identifying areas of efficiency. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do

• Strengthen processes to help develop global expense and margin forecasts for Plan, rLBE, OEM & RCEs
• Ensures completeness and accuracy of financial submissions.
• Interpret financial results & recommend options based upon analysis of data & information.
• Contributes to the strategic planning process by partnering and providing financial support to non-financial stakeholders.
• Identify meaningful analytics including trend analyses, which can be gleaned from rLBE submissions; presentation of these findings to US Commercial senior leadership to aid strategic decision making and agree upon storyline of the submission
• Preparation of LBE deck, working with stakeholders to prepare presentation to senior management.  Focus on simplifying submissions to make slides concise & executive-ready
• Management and development of one FPDP staff member
• Operates with a significant amount of autonomy, focuses on delegation to staff to aid their development, and proactively navigates the division network to accomplish goals/tasks
  Ad hoc requests from management (Division & Corporate functions including Tax, Treasury, Audit, Investor Relations etc.)
• Ensure adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs) and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

Education and Experience You'll Bring
Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economic 
• Minimum 8 years Finance and supervisory experience (FP&A, Cost/General Accounting and Financial Reporting)
• Ability to plan, implement and administer financial information and control systems
• Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting

Preferred

• BA, CPA/CMA preferred
