70,000.00 to 75,000.00 USD Per Year

Long Beach Corporate Office (On-Site)

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday - Friday (AM)

What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications):

  • Employee Relations experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business with either a concentration or a minor in Human Resources plus 3 years of experience working in HR or, Associate’s degree/2 years of college plus 4 years of experience working in human resources required
  • HR experience in a health care setting desirable.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems highly desirable.
  • Valid California Driver’s License

How you will make a difference (Job Overview):

This role is responsible for performing a wide variety of day-to-day HR related duties within the region. This position provides professional level HR support with HR policies and procedures administration and interpretation, employee relations, talent development and retention, new-hire onboarding, HRIS systems, and termination processing.  This position may also assist with compensation, benefits, workers compensation and HR training/development as needed. Handling extensive personal and confidential information is an essential job function of this position.

Division/Program Overview:

The HR Generalist will report to the HR Manager and support both inpatient and outpatient programs throughout LA County, providing day-to-day HR generalist support to the assigned region/agency. The role involves building and maintaining a positive collaborative partnership with operational leadership, including the Regional Administrator, Program Administrators, HR shared services teams, and SBHG Corporate Leadership. The HR Generalist will communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to employees and management, handle investigations and resolve employee issues in coordination with the Regional HR Manager and ensure that disciplinary actions are consistent with past practices and SBHG policies. Travel within the region will be required.
