Job Summary

Nidec's US Motors division is looking for a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to support our Commercial Industrial Motors business unit. This role includes responsibilities for Sales, Marketing, and Engineering positions.

At US Motors (USM), our employees are the foundation of our success. Our team builds electric motors that power water parks, providing thrilling and safe experiences for families. Job Description

Human Resources Manager – CIMDA Business Unit

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Training and Development

  • Design and implement training plans.
  • Provide detailed reporting on training delivery and attendance.
  • Direct training and delivery through in-house trainers and external service providers.
  • Facilitate and conduct leadership development interventions based on core leadership competencies.

Recruitment and Selection

  • Efficiently direct the recruitment process for open roles.
  • Train and coach people leaders on competency-based interviewing techniques.
  • Liaise with staff and shared services to fill open roles efficiently.
  • Ensure on-boarding and off-boarding processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Performance Programs

  • Drive the implementation of performance programs across the business.
  • Guide leaders on daily performance coaching.
  • Create programs to foster a culture of performance excellence.

Employee Relations

  • Work with employees and leaders to tackle people-related issues and concerns directly.
  • Promote a collaborative culture within the site.
  • Compile and assist in implementing Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Analyze discrepancies and advise on corrective actions.
  • Advise leadership on appropriate recognition programs.
  • Support annual merit, promotion, and equity adjustment cycles.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with ACIM compensation and benefits policies.

Stakeholder Engagement, Compliance, and General Support

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Forge strong business partnerships with all stakeholders.
  • Balance employee and organizational interests when advising on corrective actions or disciplinary matters.
  • Administer and maintain organizational and employee data with the highest confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with other BU HR Leaders on projects as needed.
  • Support strategic HR initiatives established by the USM HR Director and the business.

People Development

  • Foster a high-performance culture within the HR team.
  • Actively drive the development of team members.
  • Provide daily guidance to ensure quality and accuracy in HR administration tasks.
  • Instill a culture of service excellence in HR operations.

HRIS Delivery

  • Ensure excellent data integrity within Workday.
  • Monitor Workday to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Promote the use of Workday as the single source of employee information across the business.

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; an MBA and/or HR certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in leading multi-location facilities, and experience with Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and 6S. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication, analytical, creative, and problem-solving abilities and the proven ability to analyze and interpret data, meet deadlines, and adapt to a changing environment.

Skills:

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI a big plus) and excellent communication skills capable of interacting at all organizational levels are required. Strong organizational and planning skills, the ability to build and motivate effective teams, and exceptional problem-solving skills are also required.
