Job Description

Blue Water Thinking is seeking an experienced and dedicated Program Analyst to join our team, supporting a large project at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Program Analyst will be a key contributor to consulting assignments, performing a variety of tasks requiring both practical experience and theoretical knowledge in the specified area, all within established guidelines. The analyst will understand the overall purpose of each task assignment and contribute to the success of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support consulting assignments by contributing expertise and performing tasks within established guidelines.
  • Perform a variety of tasks requiring both practical experience and theoretical knowledge in the assigned specialty area.
  • Understand the overall purpose of task assignments and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Assist in the analysis and development of project documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather information, analyze data, and develop recommendations.
  • Track project progress, risks, and issues, providing regular updates to team leads and project managers.
  • Provide support in the preparation of status reports, briefings, and other project-related documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in program or project analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of task management and project documentation.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal contracting, particularly in the healthcare or government sector.
  • Experience working in a Program Management Office (PMO) environment, ensuring adherence to PMO standards, processes, and governance.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools.

Eligibility:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The proposed salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000.
