Operations Optimization and Enablement (OOE)

OOE is a newly formed team designed to drive change and implement Operations strategy.  Operations is helping to lead the Citi transformation agenda by rapidly scaling programs of work which will redefine core operations architecture and the processes they support.

One key element of the OOE is Strategic Ledger – The goal of the Strategic Ledger Program is to implement a new global financial accounting and general ledger platform that provides a daily ledger in every legal entity.  A single, universal Ledger with a unified chart of accounts, reducing approx. 250 accounting engines to 10-20 accounting hubs.  We will establish a single global Ledger operating model and end-to-end business process automated through Oracle, replacing multiple manual processes.  Migrating from ~100 ledgers and ledger standards today with a single global Citi ledger design template, initially rolled out in CBNA London Branch, before expanding to EMEA, Asia, LATAM and NAM.  The program will run through to the end of 2030.  Operations will be part of the end-to-end process and the OOE team will be the focal point to define, establish, and implement best in class operational capabilities aligned to the future state architecture, notably an intraday cash subledger which will service both internal and client cash requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capability Building:  working with the data leads help drive the development and implementation of core data analytics capabilities within our division. Define the strategic roadmap for data analytics initiatives and drive the execution of key projects to enhance our analytical capabilities.
  • Collaboration and Partnership: Forge strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities. Collaborate closely to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value and inform decision-making.
  • Value-Added Recommendations: Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for senior executive audiences. Develop compelling narratives, visualizations, and presentations to communicate insights and drive alignment on key strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement:  Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the data analytics team. Regularly assess and optimize processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.

Qualifications:

5-10 + years of experience:

  • Effective communication

Technical Skills:

5-10 + years of experience:

  • Domain expertise: Experience across Operations and Finance functions and tools. Expert knowledge in end-to-end transaction lifecycle process. 
  • Change management: Experience of Large, complex implementations and transformation program expertise in finance and or operations.  
  • Data Migration: Knowledge in migration techniques and tools to ensure seamless transition of data from legacy to new GL platform. 
  • Process Improvement: Knowledge of process improvement with a track record of streamlining operational or finance process. 
  • General ledger Expertise: good understanding of GL, systems, their functionalities, and best practice implementing.  


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$142,320.00 - $213,480.00
