Role Summary

The Performance Improvement Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Steel Point Solutions is a senior-level role responsible for providing strategic guidance and expertise in optimizing organizational performance. This position involves leading complex performance improvement initiatives, advising on best practices, and ensuring the effective application of advanced methodologies to drive measurable results. The Performance Improvement SME plays a critical role in shaping and executing strategies that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide expert guidance on performance improvement strategies, leveraging advanced methodologies to address complex organizational challenges and drive transformational change.
  • Consultation and Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations on performance optimization and process enhancement.
  • Methodology Implementation: Lead the implementation of performance improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee and manage high-impact performance improvement projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Change Management: Develop and execute change management plans to facilitate smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-in for performance improvement initiatives.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to identify performance gaps, measure improvement impacts, and report on project progress and outcomes.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to build organizational capability in performance improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Best Practices: Identify and promote best practices and innovative solutions to enhance organizational performance and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to drive collaboration, gather feedback, and ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Secret Clearance Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, information technology, or organizational change or related field (In lieu of degree, four (4) years of additional experience substitutes)
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, process improvement, strategic planning, driver based performance management practices and program design

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, information technology, or organizational change
  • Prior military experience
  • Prior experience supporting DoD

The salary range represents a general guideline; however, Steel Point Solutions considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
