This position supports Leidos Health and Civil Division programs which provide essential support to service members and their families, enhancing readiness, resilience, and quality of life while promoting operational effectiveness and community well-being.

The Director for Training and Strategic Outreach plays a pivotal role in enhancing the support provided to Service members and their families. This position directs and manages the execution of Training and Strategic Outreach initiatives, overseeing the training development and delivery of educational materials and support services. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality service delivery. Key responsibilities include managing the creation, approval, and deployment of training and educational content .This includes assessing organizational training needs, evaluating training effectiveness, and revising curricula as needed. They will also coordinate with key stakeholders to identify outreach gaps and implement improvements to enhance outreach. This role is remote and requires a quiet, private workspace with reliable high-speed internet. Use of mobile hotspots or wireless ISP connections is not acceptable.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages on time, on budget delivery of strategic outreach projects and services ensuring project delivery in accordance with client expectations and success factors.
  • Conducts verification and strategic outreach needs assessment of project deliverables, identifies project goals, objectives, critical success factors and success measures.
  • Manages the execution of processes, projects and tactics for delivering educational and training materials, outreach products and referral information, and field service delivery.
  • Manages and coordinates program awareness and educational/training needs of program.
  • Designs, manages and implements training and educational projects and initiatives for an optimal learning environment.
  • Develops training standards and procedures.
  • Regularly interfaces with program management office to ensure training program maintains learning and curriculum options to maintain all quality standards.
  • Researches and implements adult learning and curriculum development best practices.
  • Measures training outcomes, employee training satisfaction and other key metrics.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in adult education or human resources training and development or similar program with 5+ years experience developing, leading and implementing training programs for behavioral/mental health prevention and intervention programs. 
  • 5+ years program/project management experience on program of similar scope and scale.
  • Relevant strategic outreach experience managing program awareness end educational programs.
  • Must have experience working with military members and their families and strong knowledge and understanding of the military lifestyle and culture. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proven proficiency in electronic learning systems; Microsoft-based tools including Word, Outlook, Excel; web-based research; and electronic documentation system.
  • Due to Government contract, US Citizenship is required.
  • Must speak fluent English.
  • Ability obtain/maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • This position is a remote position and requires a quiet, private, confidential space to work from as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home or apartment (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home. Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or wireless ISP is not acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with Commander, Naval Installation Command (CNIC).
  • Direct military affiliation or military spouse.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00
