Deputy Head of FP&A

Summary

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role’s primary focus is running the FP&A and Business Partnering team (7 reports) including oversight of the quarterly results packs, expense analysis and the annual planning cycle as well as training of junior members of staff.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility of ensuring timely submissions of quarterly reports including management P&L discussion pack to UK and US executive, reports to various committees and Board reports.
  • Oversight of the annual planning cycle and quarterly reforecasts including 2 Lloyd’s SBFs, input into US consolidated plan, UK entity specific plans, 3-year plan and ORSAs.
  • Oversight of the quarterly line of business results meetings with underwriting heads, including production of the materials and resolution of meeting action points.
  • Oversight of the operating expense process including quarterly packs, analysis, meetings with functional heads, resolution of meeting action points.
  • Oversight of the production of the annual and quarterly ground-up expense plan.
  • Oversight of the expense recharge model
  • Oversight and advancement of business partnering activities including binder premium trackers and input into underwriting business review process.
  • Other projects as required such as ledger/ reporting efficiency, underwriting profitability, M&A
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience post qualified experience working in Insurance FP&A or Business Partnering teams
  • Lloyds market knowledge preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
