The Markets Program Execution & Transformation team works with all Markets businesses and Citi functions, including Legal, Compliance, Finance, Risk and O&T to identify, mobilize and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects. The primary mission of the team is to design and implement integrated solutions and sustainable capabilities in the most efficient and effective way for Markets and its clients.
Examples of major programs that Markets Program Execution & Transformation currently (or recently) manage include: Brexit; Dodd-Frank Title VII; EMIR/Re-Fit; FRTB; IBOR Transition; Markets Conduct Risk; MiFID / MiFIR; Resolution Stay Rules; and multiple specific APAC/EMEA/NAM Regulations.
The Program Management Office (PMO) and Business Execution team within Markets Program Execution & Transformation, is responsible for the delivery of Markets-wide PMO, quality assurance and provision of business execution support.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and priorities will reflect needs of the specific programs being supported and will evolve over time, however the following are some of the specific activities expected of this role:
Track application (and where applicable, enforce usage of) Citi’s Enterprise Program and Project Management Policy and Standards across the Markets book of work
Contribute to the design and delivery of Markets specific project and PMO guidelines and provide subject matter expertise for internal queries relating to project management
Assist with the PMO delivery of programs and projects across a number of Markets sales / trading desks and functions including Risk, Legal, Finance and Compliance
Identify, prioritise and proactively manage dependencies, risks, exceptions and issues
Effectively communicate with key stakeholders and project teams
Develop and deliver presentations to Markets Program Execution & Transformation and senior management covering book of work status and plans.
Coach and develop more junior PMO team members
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Experience of structured project management & PMO techniques, preferably in a Markets front office environment
Experience of designing and implementing PMO processes and creating applicable guidance materials
Experience of undertaking ‘Book of Work’ quality assurance and assisting with remediation efforts
Exposure to Front Office trading processes across the full trade lifecycle within a large bank/dealer
Exposure to global markets trading products (Fixed Income, Equity, Currencies & Commodities) and/or securities services (Prime, Collateral, Clearing, Custody, Fund Services)
Skills and Competencies – Must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of:
Setting up PMO functions for large portfolios / programs / projects
Strong analytical and problem skills, with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently, in a pro-active manner with a ‘can do’ attitude
Ability to gain consensus among colleagues and drive initiatives to completion effectively
Strong interpersonal, influencing and organizational skills to mobilize and motivate delivery in a co-operative and collaborative working environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively produce procedural documentation
Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues
Qualifications:
College / University degree education preferred
Appropriate industry knowledge & delivery track record is preferred
Experience of operating in a consulting (internal / external) capacity preferred
Formal Project Management / PMO certification preferred
