The Role
You will prepare financial documents and reports for internal and external uses. As such, the ideal candidate should combine excellent skills with numbers with the ability to analyze and present complex data. The job requires the ability to work independently and coordinate with many independent teams. In addition, the role works directly with Media Strategy teams, sitting outside Finance, so an interest in advertising is ideal.

Responsibilities
·        Analyze financial information (e.g., revenues, expenditures, and cash management) spanning multiple departments to ensure all operations are within budget
·        Own communication across multiple departments to ensure buys are within authorized total, investigating discrepancies and working with teams to maintain a balanced budget
·        Design effective budget models and processes to track and maintain a variety of financial documents and media reports spanning across multiple departments
·        Maintain tracking of client’s budgets between Total Fixed Budget vs Authorized and shifting of funds between authorized campaigns
·        Combine excellent numeracy skills with the ability to analyze and present complex data
·        Present annual budgets to senior managers (both client-facing and internal)
·        Use critical thinking to create financial forecasts and make budgeting decisions
·        Identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period
·        Ensure department managers meet budget submission deadlines
 
Qualifications
 
·        Excellent attention to detail and QA ability to ensure budgets are properly maintained and minimize discrepancies across reporting
·        Self-starter with proven ability to drive projects from start to finish promptly
·        Possess a solid ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with flexibility
·        Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
·        Practical verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present in a clear and actionable way
·        A collaborative team player who can work independently and as part of a matrix structure
 
Experience & Education
 
·        Strong knowledge of MS Excel (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts)
·        Familiarity with forecasting methods and data analysis
·        Familiarity with accounting best practices and regulations
·        Ability to explain budgeting and financial information in plain terms
·        3 - 5 years of accounting/finance experience
·        Strong analytical skills
·        Interest in advertising and/or media planning
·        BS/MS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
Salary and Benefits
Actual base salary is determined upon factors such as experience, qualifications, training, certifications, and internal equity. The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that includes highly competitive benefits like generous medical, dental, vision, pet insurance, commuter benefits, disability and life insurance coverage, 401(k) matching, up to 14 holidays per year, a “Do Good Day,” and unlimited PTO.
