Job Summary

The Plant Finance Analyst (Cost Accounting) is responsible for the collection and analysis of production data, and accurately prepares associated recurring internal financial and productivity reports. These reports are leveraged in the decision-making process by key customers in the business unit at Lexington, NC. This position will also relay pertinent plant information to partners in the financial sector.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare the weekly Stats Package reflecting the financial impact of yield and rate performance.
  • Prepare monthly Cost Package with operational costs site-wide, and by production area.
  • Update the monthly forecast file with post-production activities and costs.
  • Analyze plant costs for trending; research variances to identify causality.
  • Update tracker file for actual Grade Costs after each month end.
  • Maintain Material Database file in support of preparing financial reports.
  • Maintain invoice tracking file for contract labor; monitor SAP to verify posting accuracy and timing of weekly invoice receipts and accruals.
  • Maintain established projects savings trackers and report monthly results.
  • Assist with producing the annual operational budget and financial projections for the plant.
  • Gather data and prepare the plant’s quarterly incentive package.
  • Produce the Capacity Survey for quarterly government reporting requirements.
  • Support the manufacturing teams by providing ad hoc reports and/or data related to demonstrated performance.
  • Function as a liaison between manufacturing teams, operating units and finance sector partners by developing strong and open relationships with all groups.
  • Partner with site and corporate planning teams to determine financial effects of forecast volume changes.
  • Comply with all safety standards and quality regulations (ISO13485: 2016, MDSAP, NOM-241-SSA1-2012, EU MDR 2017/745).

Qualifying Experience

  • BS in Accounting or related professional career, plus 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing variances or cost accounting.
  • Strong analytical and data mining skills; SAP experience a plus.
  • Advanced Excel with the ability of creating ad hoc reports using data from multiple sources; Analysis/BEX for Excel; MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
